Mom's Computer Broke!
I guess I threw one sippy cup too many at Mom's lap top, or maybe it was the fourth torn off keypad letter, the peanut butter fingers, the spilt milk? Whatever it was Mom's computer will not access the Internet. It was five years old. ANCIENT! Dad got Mom a new one about a month ago, but we are still trying to transfer all the information over. Mom hates letting me make entries out of order, and SOOOO much happened in May. We had a family photo shoot (Mom is dying to share the images), Nonny & Pappi & Aunt Kelly & Uncle Dave came out to visit us as well as Grams & Papa, Uncle Greg. Simone took her first step (Mom missed it, but I saw it so did Dad, Grams & Papa) Then we had a great party for Dad's 40th birthday. I LOVE birthdays. I especially like singing the birthday song and eating cake. Simone acquired a few new words - she already could say ball, mama da da but she now says Done, Again, balloon, tickle, hat, cat (all four legged creature are called "dat"). I took some great swimming lessons with my friends Nick & Samara. Simone learned how to catch a ball (and is better at it then I am) but she still can't throw (she won't let go of the ball). Simone is becoming more and more like a little sister. She has found many ways to make me really upset. The worst is when she sneaks up behind me, steals my nummy out of my mouth and crawls/ runs away laughing. She also messes up my puzzles. I've had about 6 puzzles for a year now - never cared for them until recently. I love mastering them. Simone loves eating them. Simone no longer sits in the baby seat in the bathtub, so I have to compete with her for faucet time. On the other hand Simone is pretty cool. She mimics every sound I make, especially the high pitched dolphin noises that drive everyone crazy. She thinks I am hilarious, and is almost always laughing, she bring my nummy to me when I cry, and I get a big kick out of feeding her. Her favorite song is "The wheels on the bus" My favorites are still the "ABC" song and "Row your boat". We both love pasta, cheese, broccoli, peas, yogurt, blue berries, strawberries, pizza & bananas. Simone wants to eat whatever we are eating, and will try anything, but she's not allowed to eat nuts. Nuts are for big boys like me. Simone is also a great snuggler - she loves to give lots of big open kisses. She gives me zurbets. Mom & Dad fixed up the backyard - they took down the sick trees that dropped the yummy looking dangerous red berries and planted grass. We also got two blueberry bushes. Mom, Dad & Jodi try hopelessly to get us to pick only the blue ones, but the green ones aren't so bad - and they are so much fun to pick! They fixed up the front yard too. They took down all the bushes and planted tomatoes, onions, zucchini, cucumbers and pumpkins! On July 4th, Simone turned 1 years old. We had a big birthday party for her the next day at our house. Grams & Papa helped me bake her cupcakes. Simone was given the option of choosing the devil chocolate cake or the vanilla angel cake - she chose the angel cake!! We went to a yoga farm for a weekend. Mom did yoga and meditation, Dad survived on 2 vegetarian meals per day, and Simone & I ran around. Simone attacked the altar and tried to run away with the statue of Shiva. I guess the she chose the wrong cake. By the way, Simone can RUN now. She can also dance. We love playing the "construction country rock" sound button on my Caterpiller Excavator and dancing. I love playing ring around the rosey with her. I am teaching her the "strawberry dance" "dogpatch dance" and "peter cottaintail dance", but my favorite new move is to run around in circles and get dizzy. It makes me happy. Some other things I have told Mommy that "make me happy" are: straws, bubbles, and the library. Speaking of books, Simone no longer tries to eat all my books. Most of my non board books have bite holes in them, but not any more! Simone loves reading books as much as I do. Good thing Mom and Dad have laps big enough for both of us. Now if only Simone could pay attention for the whole story.....
